100 Days of Decay is a research project by Kambiz Shafei looking at the relationship between images and built environment. This project explores different methods of image making to test the mutual translation between architecture and the materiality of photographs. Ausstellungsraum Klingental serves as one of the photographed sites. The rooms of Ausstellungsraum Klingental have undergone multiple renovations over the past 45 years. Since the summer of 2018, Ausstellungsraum Klingental has begun a major reconstruction. Two weeks prior to it starting, I had the chance to photograph their space. A selection of these photographs will be shown on the poster wall on Klingentalweglein. I'll hang a new photographic print on this frame each day and document the decay of the previous ones.
